Shia LeBeouf to direct Kid Cudi's short film!

Kid Cudi  follows in his mentor, Kanye West's footsteps by releasing a short film directed by none other than Shia LeBeouf. The film will be based on the song "MANIAC" off Kid Cudi's sophomore album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.

The track features rappers Cage and St. Vincent, which is where the Shia connection comes in. Cage recently worked with The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps actor when he directed his video for “I Never Knew You.” The two forged a friendship ever since and it is no wonder Shia's signed on for another project where Cage is involved.

The news surfaced after the picture below of Cudi holding a piece of paper with message "Maniac, Kid Cudi, Cage - Dir: Shia LaBeouf " hit the net...

I was excited to hear Cudi was coming out with a short film, now even more so considering the Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf is going to serve behind the lens. Kid Cudi is also no stranger to working with an A-list actor as he joined forces with Josh Hartnett to film "The Pursuit of Happiness". Stay tuned in because this could very well turn out to be greatness in the making!
