Not all went smooth for big winner of the evening, Chris Brown, at this year's BET Awards. Brown was to be presented with the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice award when he was suddenly dethroned by presenter, a Nicki Minaj fan Tiffany Greene.
After the embarrassing mixup, host of the award show Kevin Hart brought Chris Brown on stage at the end of the show and announced that he was in fact the winner.
The distraught superfan jumped to blame BET for the mistake, accusing them of arranging it on purpose and tweeting hysterically: “Bawling backstage. They totally fu**ed me up.” and “The tablet [expletive] said CHRIS BROWN....the TELEPROMPTER said Rihanna. What the [expletive]??????”
BET programming executive Stephen Hill admitted BET was at fault, attributing his own human error as the cause. Hill Tweeted: “That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice mix-up was due to human error, And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.”
