Piranha 3D shockingly entertaining!

So for all you fellow horror flick lovers you definitely need to see this movie!
First of all you should know Piranha 3D's director is the same guy who wrote and directed The Hills Have Eyes. Meaning.... huge shock value packed into this remake! I was expecting a real gimmicky slightly entertaining thriller but boy did I underestimate this film. The movie starts off slightly slow but not for long as you are soon hit with gore, gore and more gore with spurts of serious tension building in-between. The cast alone gives you an idea of what you have in store, I'm surprised how little they advertised them.

Steven R. McQueen & Jessica Szohr
Jake Forester (Steven R. McQueen) and love interest Kelly (Jessica Szhor) are local teens of Lake Victoria, a small town of 5,000 that explodes when 50,000 Spring Breakers make the town their party destination. Jake Forester is hired by a "Girls Gone Wild"-ish director Derrick Jones (O'Connell) to show the cast around the town shortly after a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric Piranha's who have been forced to resort to cannibalism to survive.

Ving Rhames, Elisabeth Shue & Jerry O'Connell
Elisabeth Shue plays Jake's mother and local Sheriff Julie Forester burdened with the task of monitoring all the Spring Break madness with the help of Deputy Fallon (Rhames). Needless to say scientists roll in too little too late and nothing short of chaos ensues in the small lakeside town when thousands of Spring Breakers are ambushed by seriously hungry, man-eating fish!
