Some of you out there may have heard about the unidentified flying objects witnessed over New York City at approximately 1:30PM today. In addition to the New York sighting there has been quite a stir involving another sighting in China where last week, air traffic controllers in China closed an airport because of what they believed to be a UFO. The... EIGHTH one witnessed since June.
The topic of UFO's and aliens has been on the rise across the globe. Recently the UN has been in discussions about appointing an Alien Ambassador. Also, the US Air Force officers announced at a news conference that "UFOs have been systematically hovering over US nuclear missiles and occasionally disabling them." In addition to all this we have also recently discovered a nearby habitable planet (Gliese 581G aka Goldilocks)... coincidence? Either way it's pretty creepy when you splice all these pieces together...
Opinions are all across the board on this one, everything from hot air balloons, to optical illusions, and balloons gone awry from an engagement party. I will admit I have a certain faciniation with the unknown but my own opinions aside, the way in which the objects separated and later grouped back together is quite suspect not to mention they are not drifting, simply hovering atop the city. The only way I could think possible balloons could do this is with static... but at that height and distance apart from which they regroup I'm skeptical to say this is balloons.
Your thoughts? Coincidence or should I be completely terrified that ET may not be just a fictional character ?!
